A properly prepared site is the foundation of a long-lasting building. Here's what we recommend before your delivery day:
- Level ground is essential — even a small slope can cause doors to stick or the floor to bow over time.
- A compacted gravel base (4–6 inches deep) is the most popular option: it drains well and resists frost heave.
- Pressure-treated skids come standard on every Clearwater building, but a proper pad protects them and extends their life.
- Allow adequate clearance around all four sides for ventilation and future maintenance.
